Minchan KIM was Born in 1993 in Gwang-Ju (South Korea). Currently, He is studying with prof. Jerry Chae at The Korea National University of Arts For his Master degree. Since 2016 He studied at CRR de Versailles for 3 years with Prof. Philippe Cuper and received ‘perfectionnement‘ diploma. He was the Finalist of several international Competitions Like Lison International Clarinet Competition 2019, ICA International Clarinet Competition 2018 and ‘Saverio Mercadante’, 2017. He was won 1st Prize at WEB ClarinetOnline Contest 2020, 2nd Prize – Louis Chauzac International Clarinet Competition 2019, 1st prize – Anche Simples de Toulouse International clarinet Concours, 1st Prize – Clariana National Clarinet Concours in France, 3rd priz – 'Classic Pure International music competition Vienna' 2018, 1st prize -‘Rising Star International Music competition Berlin’ 2018, 1st Prize – Concours Les Clé d’or’ likewise, won Many 1st prizes Competitions in South Korea. He had an invited recitals at the Philharmonie Berlin(Kammermusiksaal) and in France and South Korea. he performed as a soloist with Seoul Orchestra, Logos Chamber Orchestra Etc. As a chamber musician he also participated and performed many Festival such as Clarinet Fest in Oostende. and also won the 1st prize at The North International Music Competition (Sweden) by Chamber music category. He received Bachelor's degree with a scholarship at Chung-Ang University In South Korea. He had studied under Jerry Chae and Minjo Kim when he has been in South Korea.
