GENERAL RULES:

1. By entering this contest, you certify that your performance is made using AMBIPOLY.
2. Only one entry per contestant per calendar month.
3. Entries may be recorded with or without accompaniment and may be mainstream jazz, commercial/contemporary or classical music in nature.
4. Solo works with electronics/loopers/digital accompaniment will be considered contemporary/commercial entries.
5. Entries must be complete performances. No vignettes, compilations or solo-only clips. You must be the primary focus and performer in the submitted video.
6. Entries must be received no later than 12:00pm EST on the last day of each calendar month for the duration of the Festival (August 31, September 30, October 31, November 30).
7. The contest resets at 12:01PM EST on the last day of each month.
8. Monthly winners will be announced on the 3rd business day of the following month.
9. Grand Prize winners will be announced on December 24, 2021
10. If you do not win in one month, you may submit a new recording for the next month’s entry.
11. Winners of previous months are ineligible for further monthly entries.
12. Members of the Silverstein Inspiring Pro Team are prohibited from entering the contest.

These rules may be changed without prior notice or consent.

VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

1. 1. Upload your video to the AMBIPOLY Saxophone Festival Facebook group page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ambipolyfest.
   2. Video resolution must be 720p (1280 x 720) or higher, 1080p recommended, and must be in landscape mode.
   3. Video must begin with a clear, verbal introductory statement by the contestant giving the contestant’s name, date of recording, country of residence and title of the musical selection.
   4. At the end of the performance, contestants MUST remove their AMBIPOLY reed and clearly show the reed to the camera.
   5. Performer should be centered in the video frame with the entire face, hands, and instrument visible at all times.
   6. The video must clearly show the torso of the contestant, the saxophone, and finger movement. 
   7. Video must be recorded in one continuous shot with no breaks, cuts, or edits of any type. Edited videos will be immediately disqualified without notice to the contestant. If editing is discovered after the awarding process completes, the award will be forfeited.
   8. Entire length of the video must be under 15 minutes in total, including the introductory statement.
   9. To maintain a high standard of the contest, the group page may be closed if an excessive number of entries is received. 
   10. An example of an acceptable video can be found pinned to the top of the Facebook group page.
   11. Video submissions must be new, previously unreleased and publicly undistributed recordings.
   12. Contestants may not use videos submitted to the AMBIPOLY Saxophone Festival for any other personal or professional purpose until the final results of this event are officially announced. 
   13. Silverstein Works reserves the right to use video content submitted for this event for any purpose at our discretion.
   14. Silverstein Works reserves the right to remove or disqualify any video submission for any reason at our sole discretion.
   15.
