Born in Villanueva de Castellón (Valencia), he studied at the Conservatories of Valencia and Barcelona with professors V. Romero, J. Talens Sebastià, J. Panyella, and J. Tordera.
He teaches clarinet and chamber music at the School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC) since its creation, and the Symphony Orchestra of Barcelona and National of Catalonia (OBC) since 1993.
He has been invited to play in different symphony orchestras (National Orchestra of Spain, New American Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Chamber Orchestra of the Lliure Orchestra Camerata Mediterranean, Cadaqués Orchestra, National Chamber Orchestra of Andorra) with which he participated in concert tours in Germany, France, Holland, Italy, United States and Japan.
In the field of chamber music, he is co-founder of Harmonia Quintet de Vent, Barcelona 216, Diabolus in Musica, and Kammart ensemble groups. His extensive experience in this field has led to collaboration with numerous groups and renowned performers such as Glinka Quartet, Cuarteto Quiroga, Orpheus Quartet Soloists Ibercàmera, and pianists Albert Atenelle, Eulàlia Solé, Xavier Dolç, Angel Puig and Dolors Cano, among others. Since 2005 he formed a duo with Isabel Hernandez, with whom he recorded the album virtuous Music for clarinet and piano, vol. I, II and III, the two Brahms sonatas, and Homage to Weber and Rossini, works that have been very well received by critics.
He has recorded also the complete works for clarinet composer Jesús Rodríguez Picó, has released the Quintet of the Board of Llevant for clarinet and string quartet, Xavier Benguerel, Clarinet Concertino Jordi Cervello, Clarinet Concerto “of dawn” Zulema de la Cruz and Fantasia for clarinet, strings and percussion of Juan Medina small works that have been dedicated.
He has made several recordings for Catalunya Music, RNE, Radio France and Radio Netherlands, as well as for labels Hyades Arts, Stradivarius, Editions Moraleda, Anacrusi Contemporary, Columna Música and Ars Harmonica. His two recordings quintets for clarinet and string quartet by Mozart, Weber, Krommer, Bärmann, Spohr and Reicha with the Quartet Glinka received the highest consideration by the international critics.
