“I have tried almost every ligature made, and the Silverstein is the best. And it’s not even close. The reed vibrates so freely, yet there’s still some resistence which is perfect. It’s true what they say, you really can hear the reed, without the bias of metal or leather influencing it. I can feel the reed vibrating more than with any other ligature, which suggests to me that the design holds the reed perfectly without dampening the vibrations.”
“There are about a dozen improvisational Canadian artists that could compete favorably on a more global stage and David Rubel is one such artist. I have reviewed more saxophonists in the last four years than most people have heard in a lifetime, and David Rubel will stick with me. 5/5 Stars” -Critical Jazz Magazine
